Scott Mauro of Prime Contracting has provided to Trader Joe’s exceptional general contracting services for over 39 years.
As a strategic partner, he started with Trader Joe’s on the West Coast in 1984, managing special construction projects. He was identified as a sound leader with the right business results for the organization and was requested by Trader Joe’s in 1996 to relocate back to the East Coast to support developing and building a new market.
In this role, Scott helped direct Trader Joe’s expansion by assisting them in setting up a reliable vendor base. He provided the continuity and consistency that came with his experience of working for the company for the previous twelve years. He demonstrated his superior qualifications and his flexibility in responding to changing business conditions.
Scott continues to provide leadership in facilities management for Trader Joe’s on the East Coast, overseeing construction, renovation, remodeling and maintenance for over 100 locations. He advocates for Trader Joe’s to promote excellence in his district and to tirelessly look for opportunities to ensure cost effective, efficiently run projects. He consults with, as well as advises the Trader Joe’s construction team on special projects. He considers himself part of the Trader Joe’s construction team and takes ownership of his decisions and contributions. He supports the Trader Joe’s organization’s mission and ensures that his service providers do the same.
